Eating healthy isn’t always easy when you’re in your 20’s and 30’s, especially when you’re struggling to pay your bills and save money each month. It may seem like an impossible task, but know that it is possible regardless of your income.
Here are a few ideas on how you can change your current diet to be healthier so that you can be happier.
1. Include at least two types of vegetables in your basket at the grocery store. Whether it’s a bag of frozen broccoli or a couple of sweet potatoes from the produce section, make sure that you always have at least two veggies in your cart when you check out. This won’t break the bank, and it will force you to start eating healthier at home.
2. Limit your fast food runs to twice a week or less. If you’re anything like me you loooove a good chicken sandwich and hot pile of waffle fries. Unfortunately, eating that meal more than twice a week can really take a toll on your health. And let’s be honest, we all know the health repercussions of fast food, Morgan Spurlock taught us that much.
3.Drink more water. Does this one sound too much like your mom? It sure sounds like mine, but she was right about how important it is to drink a lot of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated helps your skin, your blood flow, your focus, and so much more. One of the best ways to do this is by getting a water bottle from that is marked with times. This will have you drinking a specific amount of water by a certain time of day so that you are constantly staying hydrated.
